“My Voice, My Story”
As I scroll through the world’s constant newsfeeds and the many faces I encounter online, I often find myself reflecting on how we communicate with one another, in real life and through technology. How are we able to learn, laugh, love, and experience a wide range of emotions when connecting with one another?
For me, one answer stands out above all others: we share our voices, our stories. When I’m struggling, when I’m at my lowest, and even when I’m in my most content state, it is through speaking, expressing my feelings and emotions, that I can create an impactful connection with the people around me.
We all have a story, a story that shapes who we are and where we’re going. Whether that’s through the highs and lows, joys and pains, or insecurities and moments of strength, it’s all connected in one way or another. We owe it to ourselves to share our stories, to make sure our voice is heard, and to show that no matter who we are, what we look like, or where we come from, our story can make a difference.
As a reminder, don’t forget that you, me, and everyone else, have something to contribute. So don’t be afraid to step up, use your voice, and start your story.
Me too.
