Macaulay Culkin Honored with Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
In a ceremony held on December 1, 2023, Macaulay Culkin, famed for his iconic role in “Home Alone,” received the 2,765th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The event, located at 6353 Hollywood Blvd., drew notable figures like Catherine O’Hara and Natasha Lyonné.
Culkin, born in 1980, began his acting career at the age of 4 and gained recognition for his role in the 1989 comedy “Uncle Buck.” However, it was his portrayal of an 8-year-old left home alone in “Home Alone” that earned him a Golden Globe nomination in 1990.
Not limited to the big screen, Culkin’s diverse career includes hosting “Saturday Night Live” at the age of 11, leading the comedy rock band The Pizza Underground from 2013 to 2018, and his involvement in the 2021 FX horror anthology, “American Horror Story: Double Feature.”
Beyond acting, Culkin is the publisher and CEO of Bunny Ears, a satirical pop culture website and podcast he founded in 2017. His contributions extend to music, comedy, and even low-income job cameos on “The Jim Gaffigan Show.”
The Hollywood Walk of Fame star is a testament to Culkin’s four-decade-long journey in the entertainment industry, marked by memorable performances and a lasting impact on popular culture. The ceremony was attended by his partner, Brenda Song, along with colleagues and friends, making it a special moment for the actor and those who have followed his remarkable career.
