Remembering Cindy Morgan: A Tribute to the Iconic ‘Caddyshack’ and ‘Tron’ Star

Renowned actress Cindy Morgan, celebrated for her iconic roles as Lacey Underall in “Caddyshack” and Lora/Yori in Disney’s original “Tron” film, has passed away at the age of 69. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office in Florida confirmed her death due to natural causes.

Cindy Morgan’s breakthrough came with the 1980 sports comedy “Caddyshack,” where she portrayed the blonde bombshell Lacey alongside stars like Bill Murray and Chevy Chase. In a 2012 interview, Morgan reflected on her debut film, noting its evolution from focusing on caddies to becoming a comedic classic.

Beyond her memorable turn in “Caddyshack,” Morgan showcased her versatility by starring as computer programmer Lora Baines and Yori in the 1982 sci-fi film “Tron.” She later lent her voice to the character Ma3a in the 2003 video game “Tron 2.0.”

Throughout the ’80s and early ’90s, Morgan made notable appearances on various television series, including “The Love Boat,” “Vega$,” and “The Larry Sanders Show.” Her extensive TV movie credits include “The Midnight Hour” (1985) and “Amanda & the Alien” (1995).

Morgan’s filmography also includes “Up Yours” (1979), “Galaxis” (1995), and “Open Mic’rs” (2006). Her last known role was voicing Mason’s Mother in the 2022 indie film “Face of the Trinity.”
