The Outer Banks Safari Park is set to open its gates once again this year and with it comes all of the excitement and wonder that come with visiting the park.
If you’re looking for a good time this October, don’t miss Outer Banks Season 3’s Pirate adventure day at Nags Head. This daylong event will have you on the hunt for treasure while enjoying live music, vendors, and family-friendly activities.
If you’ve been following the Outer Banks Season 3 blog posts, then you know that the Town Center has been completely renovated! In addition to a brand new store front, the Town Center now features a Starbucks, Chipotle, and a number of other eateries.
The Outer Banks season is in full swing and what better way to kick off the season than by visiting Kitty Hawk? The Outer Banks are always a great place to visit but this year there are several new attractions that are sure to please.
The Outer Banks Tourism Development Authority (OTDA) is pleased to announce that Kill Devil Hills will soon be home to more land attractions that will provide even more opportunities for visitors to enjoy the area.
If you’re a fan of nature and birding, then the Outer Banks Wildlife Preserve is definitely worth a visit this season. The preserve offers visitors a chance to see a wide variety of wildlife including bald eagles, ospreys, and foxes. There’s also a nature trail that leads through the preserve, so be sure to take your camera with you.

The third season of Outer Banks will be packed with new attractions, events, and restaurants. Here are a few of the things visitors can expect:
-A new water park opening on the Outer Banks
-A new restaurant from Top Chef contestant Bryan Voltaggio
-A new art gallery
-A new brewery
-A new concert venue
There is always something new happening on the Outer Banks, so make sure to visit this season!
2. New locations, new attractions, and new adventures

3. The return of the Outer Banks Safari Park
The Outer Banks Safari Park is set to open its gates once again this year and with it comes all of the excitement and wonder that come with visiting the park.
The Outer Banks Safari Park is a 4-acre park that features the largest safari in the Outer Banks. Safari Park guests will be able to see lions, tigers, bears, giraffes, and more. There are also a variety of rides, games, and exhibits that will keep guests entertained for hours on end.
The Outer Banks Safari Park is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day and admission is free for park guests.
4. Pirate adventure day at Nags Head
If you’re looking for a good time this October, don’t miss Outer Banks Season 3’s Pirate adventure day at Nags Head. This daylong event will have you on the hunt for treasure while enjoying live music, vendors, and family-friendly activities.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 14th and will include a pirate parade, a treasure hunt, a costume contest, and a kids’ zone. The event is open to the public and costs just $5 per person. So whether you’re looking for a fun day out with the family or a chance to get some exercise, don’t miss Outer Banks Season 3’s Pirate adventure day at Nags Head.
5. The new Outer Banks Town Center
If you’ve been following the Outer Banks Season 3 blog posts, then you know that the Town Center has been completely renovated! In addition to a brand new store front, the Town Center now features a Starbucks, Chipotle, and a number of other eateries.
If you’re looking for a place to stay, the Inn at the Town Center is now open and offers a variety of room types and prices. If you’re looking for things to do, the Town Center now features a variety of activities, from yoga to bike riding.
So far, the Town Center has been a huge success and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this new addition to the Outer Banks.
6. More beach fun at Kitty Hawk
The Outer Banks season is in full swing and what better way to kick off the season than by visiting Kitty Hawk? The Outer Banks are always a great place to visit but this year there are several new attractions that are sure to please.
Kitty Hawk is home to the world’s first operational wind turbine and the world’s largest sand sculptures. There’s plenty to see and do on the Outer Banks this season and we’re here to give you the low down on all of the must see attractions.
7. More land attractions at Kill Devil Hills
The Outer Banks Tourism Development Authority (OTDA) is pleased to announce that Kill Devil Hills will soon be home to more land attractions that will provide even more opportunities for visitors to enjoy the area.
The new attractions will include a 1.5-mile long boardwalk that will stretch from the beach to the dunes, and a new pier that will make it easier to explore the ocean and the sound.
The boardwalk is expected to open in the spring of 2020, and the pier is expected to open in the fall of 2020.
Both attractions will be open year-round.
8. More adventures in the Outer Banks Wildlife Preserve
If you’re a fan of nature and birding, then the Outer Banks Wildlife Preserve is definitely worth a visit this season. The preserve offers visitors a chance to see a wide variety of wildlife including bald eagles, ospreys, and foxes. There’s also a nature trail that leads through the preserve, so be sure to take your camera with you.
The preserve is open during daylight hours daily, and you can find more information on their website or by calling the park.
9. The Outer Banks Opera House returns

As we head into the third season of Outer Banks, we wanted to provide you with a few updates to help you plan your trip.

-The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau is now accepting applications for the Outer Banks Volunteer Appreciation Program, which will offer volunteers the opportunity to receive a free trip for each month of service.
