No Problem, Just Positive Solutions
When it comes to problem solving, it can be tempting to think negatively. We’re so quick to be bogged down in the challenge of a problem that we can miss out on seeing potential solutions. That’s why I think it’s important to keep our focus on the positive when we’re trying to work through a difficult situation.
Rather than ask, “What is the problem?”, ask “What are the possible solutions?” By focusing on solutions, rather than the problem itself, we can start to break it down into manageable chunks.
Not all problems have the same solution and some may have several different paths to take. That’s why it’s important to be open-minded when problem-solving. Be prepared to try different approaches and ideas – some will work, others won’t – but each step helps bring us closer to the end result.
We may not find the answer we’re looking for right away, but by keeping our mindset positive, and looking for the solution instead of the problem, we can be sure to make progress. There’s always something to be gained by staying positive, even if the answer we were hoping for isn’t the one we find.
So next time you’re faced with a problem, just remember – no problem, just positive solutions.
