Clear thinking requires courage rather than intelligence.

It takes a special kind of courage to think clearly and objectively in any situation. This is not something that can be easily done, as it often requires looking at the facts and circumstances in an unbiased manner. It takes tremendous courage to face the reality of any given situation and make decisions or conclusions based on logic rather than emotions or preconceived notions.

When we make decisions, we may be guided by our intellect; however, making rational decisions is much more complex than simply using intelligence. To think with clear understanding requires bravery, self-reflection, and patience – all things that take an immense amount of inner strength. It requires looking inward at our own beliefs and prejudices and understanding how they affect our outlook.

Furthermore, to think clearly requires open-mindedness – being able to weigh the different sides of a situation before reaching a conclusion. In doing so, one must confront difficult issues and accept uncomfortable realities – all which take courage and fortitude. There are also times when you must take unpopular positions that challenge prevailing norms; such actions demand bravery if you wish to remain firm in your convictions.

Ultimately, clear thinking doesn’t come easy; it comes from within – from having the strength of character to stay true to yourself and stand up for what is right regardless of the consequences. The ability to do this is rooted in courage rather than intelligence, so next time you need to make a decision, don’t forget the power of your own inner courage!
