Florida Keys travel guide

The Florida Keys are a chain of islands located off the southern coast of Florida. The islands stretch approximately 120 miles from Key Largo in the north to Key West in the south. The Florida Keys are known for their beautiful beaches, clear waters, coral reefs, and vibrant marine life.

The Keys are a popular destination for tourists, with activities such as snorkeling, diving, fishing, and boating being some of the most popular. Key West, the southernmost island, is a particularly popular destination known for its lively nightlife, historic sites, and cultural attractions. Other notable Keys include Islamorada, Marathon, and Big Pine Key.

The Florida Keys are also home to the unique and endangered Key deer, a species of deer that is only found in the Keys. Additionally, the Keys are known for their cuisine, with fresh seafood and Key lime pie being some of the local specialties.

The Florida Keys were devastated by Hurricane Irma in 2017, but have since been rebuilt and continue to attract visitors from all over the world.
