william shakespeare signature
William Shakespeare’s signature is quite famous and is a much-studied aspect of his life and work. There are six surviving signatures that are believed to be written by Shakespeare himself, and they appear on various legal documents, including his will.
Shakespeare’s signature is written in a style that was typical of the time, with a large capital “W” and a small, abbreviated “m” at the end of his first name. His last name is written in a flowing script, with the “S” and “h” joined together and the “e” at the end written with a long, looping flourish.
The six surviving signatures are all slightly different from one another, with variations in the size and shape of the letters. However, they are all clearly written by the same person and are widely accepted as authentic.
