Mulu National Park
That’s correct! Mulu National Park is located in the Malaysian state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known for its exceptional natural beauty, including its impressive limestone karst formations, extensive cave systems, and diverse flora and fauna.
The park is home to the Sarawak Chamber, which is the largest natural cave chamber in the world by area. It is so large that it could accommodate forty Boeing 747 airplanes without overlapping their wings! The park is also home to the Pinnacles, a series of towering limestone formations that rise up to 50 meters above the surrounding jungle.
Mulu National Park is also known for its rich biodiversity, with thousands of species of plants, animals, and insects found within its boundaries. It is particularly important for its role in protecting and preserving several endangered species, including the Bornean orangutan, Bornean gibbon, and several species of hornbill.
