Fast Mecca Elevator

The Mecca Royal Clock Tower Hotel, also known as the Abraj Al-Bait Clock Tower, is a prominent landmark in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is home to one of the fastest ultra-high-speed elevators in the world.

The elevator system within the Mecca Royal Clock Tower Hotel was developed by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and installed by the Saudi Binladin Group. The elevators are known for their remarkable speed and efficiency.

At the time of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the elevators in the Mecca Royal Clock Tower Hotel were reported to reach speeds of up to 10 meters per second (m/s) or 36 kilometers per hour (km/h). These elevators are designed to transport guests and visitors swiftly to their desired floors within the complex, which includes luxury accommodations, shopping malls, and prayer facilities.
