Honestly, if you are not willing to sound stupid, you don’t deserve to be in love.
Falling in love requires a certain level of bravery, one that can’t be easily explained. Whether you’re telling someone your feelings for the first time or confessing your deepest thoughts, opening yourself up can often leave you feeling exposed and vulnerable. Even so, the risk of embarrassment shouldn’t be enough to discourage someone from opening their heart and risking it all.
Love demands vulnerability and with it, a certain level of confidence. After all, you must be willing to let yourself sound ‘stupid’, in the moment of love’s discovery. In order to receive the reward of being with the person you care about, you must also accept that you might not say or do the right thing at first. But if you’re willing to take that risk, then the payoff can be amazing.
Remember that no matter how silly you feel in the moment, love isn’t about saying the right thing; it’s about making someone else feel appreciated and accepted, even with your quirks. If you’re not willing to take the chance to let your vulnerability show, you may never get the opportunity to experience the joy that comes with real love.
