Hotmail
Hotmail, now known as Outlook.com, was one of the first web-based email services, launched in 1996 by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith. It quickly gained popularity due to its convenience and accessibility, allowing users to access their emails from any internet-connected device.
In 1997, Microsoft acquired Hotmail and integrated it into its suite of products, renaming it as MSN Hotmail. Over the years, it underwent several changes and rebrandings, eventually becoming Outlook.com in 2013.
Outlook.com offers various features, such as customizable themes, integration with other Microsoft services like OneDrive and Skype, and a clutter-free inbox with advanced filtering options. Users can also create and manage folders, set up rules for automated email organization, and utilize the built-in calendar for scheduling events.
Additionally, Outlook.com provides robust security measures to protect user accounts from phishing and spam. It supports two-step verification and other security protocols to safeguard personal information.
