Dolly Parton Rocks Thanksgiving Halftime Show in Dallas

Thanksgiving took a rock ‘n’ roll turn as Dolly Parton, fresh from her new album release, dazzled during The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show at the Dallas Cowboys game.
Wearing a bedazzled Cowboys cheerleader uniform, Parton delivered a high-energy performance, starting with “Jolene” and transitioning to classics like “9 to 5” and a cover of Queen’s “We Are the Champions.”
Parton, honored to partner with The Salvation Army, urged support for those facing challenges and promoted her latest album, “Rockstar,” featuring collaborations with music legends like Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Ringo Starr.
Before the album dropped, Parton released a duet with goddaughter Miley Cyrus, covering “Wrecking Ball,” expressing how the song impacted her similarly to Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”
The Thanksgiving spectacle is part of a series of collaborations, including a New Year’s Eve co-hosting gig with Miley Cyrus. Parton’s rockstar era continues to captivate with surprises, from covers of Beatles classics to partnerships with contemporary artists.
