The Pleasures of Eating Dinner at 7 O’Clock
Or
Eating dinner at 7 o’clock can be one of the most satisfying experiences. Many of us have established routines when it comes to mealtimes, and the seven o’clock mark has always been the peak of my evening meal.
Firstly, this is when the rest of my family join in and we sit down together to break bread and converse about the day. This can often be the time of day when I am most rested, allowing me to connect more easily with my loved ones and contribute in meaningful conversations. I relish in this and cherish the bonding moments.
Furthermore, this also has health benefits as the body is programmed to function at peak efficiency during this hour. Eating your evening meal during this window ensures that the food you consume is digested quickly and easily. As the digestion process gets slow when going to bed, the late-night meals are then more likely to turn into fat deposits if consumed too close to the time you hit the hay.
Additionally, 7 o’clock has become an ingrained routine for me, which in itself can provide a feeling of satisfaction and control. Eating at this same hour every day allows my body and mind to rest assured that its needs will be met, enabling me to focus on my mental and physical wellbeing as I anticipate my meal and break for the day.
Finally, 7 o’clock is when my family shares their experiences with one another, and that’s the best part of all. From personal triumphs to unfortunate tragedies, it is here that we open up and engage in positive dialogue, having all the important discussions which, ultimately, bind us together in love and understanding.
Eating dinner at 7 o’clock has provided me with moments of delight and joy, both in my own life and within my family circle. And I will keep this precious time, savouring it for the deliciousness that it provides.
