A Working Morning – Making the Most of 9-5
Every morning I clock in for the nine-to-five, knowing that it will be another long day. My to-do list can often seem daunting, but I remind myself that I can handle anything I put my mind to. Starting off my day with a positive outlook is important.
I start off with a hot cup of coffee and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. Fueled by the necessary sustenance to get me going, I turn on my laptop and settle in for the day.
Though it can often be hard to keep up motivation throughout the entire shift, I remember to take breaks to breathe. Whether it’s a few minutes of stretching, checking in with my colleagues or taking a short walk around the office, breaks are essential to staying on task and on track.
I may not always love the work that I do, but I do enjoy having a structured schedule to help me focus. By the end of the day, I usually feel like I’ve accomplished something. And when I leave for the day, I’m thankful for the stability that work brings me.
