Istanbul Airport
Istanbul Airport, also known as Istanbul Airport (IST), is the primary international airport serving Istanbul, Turkey. It is located in the Arnavutköy district on the European side of the city, approximately 35 kilometers northwest of the city center.
The airport was opened on October 29, 2018, and replaced Istanbul Atatürk Airport as the main airport serving Istanbul. It is the largest airport in Turkey and one of the largest in the world, with a capacity of up to 200 million passengers per year.
Istanbul Airport has a single terminal building with a total of 76 contact gates and 16 remote stands. The terminal has a wide range of facilities for passengers, including shops, restaurants, lounges, and duty-free stores. There is also a hotel located within the airport terminal.
The airport is well connected to the city center by various modes of transportation, including metro, bus, and taxi. The metro line M11 connects the airport to the city’s metro network, providing easy access to various parts of the city.
